Which areas do you cover?

Murphy Scaffolding is based in Chelmsford, which means we have excellent connections to most locations in Essex and London. Being just a few miles away from the M25, the A12 and many other major routes into neighbouring counties, we can also work further afield if required.

Are your scaffolders fully trained?

All of our scaffolders have completed their training with the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme, the sector’s preferred industry qualification programme.

Are you insured?

Yes. We hold public liability insurance up to £10 million, and employers’ liability insurance up to £10 million, giving you extra peace of mind when contracting us for larger projects.

What kind of commercial clients do you work with?

We work hand in hand with builders, architects, and other construction-related firms to ensure they have access to additional scaffolding support when needed. We can provide structures for all manner of commercial projects, from new build developments to refurbishments within both the private and public sectors.

Can you work with us during the pre-tender stage process?

Yes. We can provide accurate quotes for tender and also contribute to your wider proposal if required.

How will you price up the works?

After discussing your requirements with you over the phone or via email, a member of our team will visit your site to assess what’s needed. From there, we will price up your commercial scaffolding requirements and send you a formal quotation.

Can you provide drawings?

Yes, our engineers can provide in-depth drawings and plans for all kinds of scaffold structures. We will take the unique requirements of your property into consideration, as well as any challenges presented by the building or development.

How quickly can you put up my scaffolding?

We understand that time is of the essence in the trade. We will act as quickly as we can, and will often be able to start building your scaffolding within a matter of days. Contact us directly for more information on our availability and current lead times.

Will you inspect my scaffolding while it’s being used?

Absolutely. We are trained to perform periodic inspections in line with current health and safety guidance. We will collaborate with your site managers, onsite personnel and other third parties to ensure our work is as unobtrusive as possible.

Will you dismantle the scaffolding when the project is complete?

Of course. Once a strike down date has been agreed, we will manage this part of the process and ensure your commercial premises is left clean and tidy once the scaffolding has been removed.
