Which areas do you cover?

Murphy Scaffolding is based in Chelmsford, which means we have excellent connections to most locations in Essex and London. We can also travel to neighbouring counties if required.

Are your scaffolders fully trained?

All of our scaffolders have completed their training with the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme.

Are you insured?

Yes. We hold public liability insurance up to £10 million, and employers’ liability insurance up to £10 million.

Which scaffold system will best suit my project?

It’s difficult to say without discussing your project requirements in more detail. But the good news is, Murphy Scaffolding works with a wide range of products and systems, so we are sure to find a solution that suits the size, scale and access requirements of your building. Can I build the scaffolding myself?

It can be tempting to try and reduce costs by handling the rental, installation and dismantling of the scaffolding yourself. However, we would always recommend instructing trained and insured scaffolders to complete the job for you. In our view, you should never put the safety of your site – or the people within it – at risk by cutting corners on vital works that have a huge bearing on the success of your project.

How much will my scaffolding cost?

Prices vary according to the length and height of scaffolding required, and how long it needs to be onsite for. It’s difficult to provide ballpark costs without knowing more about what you need, so for an accurate estimate, please get in touch with the team. (But what we can say is that our domestic scaffolding rates are very competitive for the local area!)

How quickly can you put up my scaffolding?

Will you inspect my scaffolding while it’s being used?

Absolutely. We are trained to perform periodic inspections in line with current health and safety guidance.

Will you dismantle the scaffolding when the project is complete?

Of course. Once a strike down date has been agreed, we will manage this part of the process and ensure that your premises is left clean and tidy once the scaffolding has been removed.
